The Franklin County Commission has approved the purchase of a new spray truck for the county transfer station. County Solid Waste Director, Peg Pearson describes the current situation:
Commissioners approved the request. The truck will be purchased at Shawnee Mission Ford for just over $57,000 and a ball hitch flatbed and plow mounting kit will be installed for another $8,300. Pearson says the truck has lived a good life but now repair costs are starting to eat up a lot of funds.
