The 55th Annual Garnett Area Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade is coming up sooner than you think. This year’s theme is “A Christmas Tribute To Our Heroes” and, the Grand Marshal’s have been announced.
They are…
…Don and Lena Nungesser!
Don currently serves as the Deputy Coroner for the 4th Judicial District of Kansas, assigned to Anderson County, as well as an Apparatus Operator with Anderson County EMS. His dedication to public service spans decades, including a long tenure as director of Anderson County EMS and service as a Reserve Deputy with the Sheriff’s office.
Lena has also dedicated many years to serving the community, both as an EMT with Anderson County EMS and as a long-time employee of Anderson County Hospital. She continues to assist with death investigations in the county, contributing greatly to the care and professionalism extended to our citizens and their families.
As Grand Marshals, they will lead the parade through Garnett to kick off the Christmas season. The parade is set for Saturday, November 29th.
