The upcoming election will see a question for Ottawa voters regarding the renewal of the one cent sales tax that has been in place for the last 15 years. Last night, October 29th, a community information event was held to explain the benefits of and the importance of the sales tax when it comes to services in Ottawa. Mayor Emily Allen:
The tax would also assist with the development of a second industrial park and helping fund community services such as police and fire, improving streets, parks, cemeteries, playgrounds and more.
