Charlotte May (Winter) Dehn, 89, of Ottawa, Kansas died Thursday, October 30, 2025 at Rock Creek Nursing Home in Ottawa, Kansas.

She was born January 9, 1936 in Kansas City, Missouri the daughter of Glen and Georgia (Seavey) Winter.  She completed her GED and then attended both Ottawa University and Neosho County Community College. 

On October 25, 1953, Charlotte was united in marriage to Alvin Fredrick Dehn at Faith Lutheran Church in Ottawa, Kansas. They were happily married for 69 years until Alvin’s passing on May 17, 2023. 

Charlotte worked as an office assistant at OK Photo, Butler’s Music Store, H&R Block, H.D. Lee, and Faith Lutheran Church. 

Charlotte was a member of the Franklin County Genealogy Club, Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Loaf Club at Faith Lutheran Church.  She was also a room mother and 4-H leader, as well as a Brownie leader.  Charlotte was an artistic woman who loved art and genealogy. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Georgia Winter; her husband, Alvin Dehn; and her great aunts.

She is survived by four children, Debra Hunsaker and her husband, Dave, of Ottawa, KS, Fred Dehn and his wife, Patty, of Spring Hill, FL, Gary Dehn and his wife, Shelly, of Colorado Springs, CO, and Lisa Moyer and her husband, Bryan, of Wichita, KS; four grandsons, Cale Moyer, Nathan Moyer, Denny Livezey, and Ryan Livezey; a sister, Shirley Pierce of Ottawa, KS; and several great- and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., November 14, 2025 at Faith Lutheran Church, Ottawa, KS.  To celebrate Charlotte’s life, a visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. November 13, 2025 at Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, 325 S.
