Last week, the Ottawa Memorial Auditorium received a Kansas Agriculture Grant of nearly $50,000 through the Resilient Food Systems Infrastructure Program. OMA director, Tiffany Evans, will use the money to transform the kitchen in the basement of the auditorium into a fully licensed commercial kitchen to support Franklin County’s Food Producers and Entrepreneurs. At yesterday’s Ottawa City Commission meeting, she talked about some potential events:
The partnership is with Live Healthy and Blue Cross and Blue Shield. Evans says interest in the basement and it’s kitchen has been growing the past couple of years.
