Developer George Ogle is having some issues getting his housing development off the ground. He’s been waiting on the city for certain numbers on infrastructure development since September. After a lengthy, and sometimes heated discussion at the ottawa planning commission meeting, it was revealed that the city requires 125% of the bids on the project as security. Mister Ogle says he got a bid for sewer work for just over $50,000. The City of Ottawa Engineer told him that it wasn’t a reasonable bid and gave him a projected cost of over $100,000. Ogle wants to know why:
In the end, the Planning Commission approved the final plat on his project and moved it on to the City Commission.
