Have you ever wondered what you would do if there was an active shooter in the building you were in, or event you were attending? Last night, November 17th, the Ottawa Police Department hosted a presentation called “Citizen Response to Active Threat” it was full of information to help you respond to and survive an active threat incident. The next step in the process is an active shooter training class. Ottawa Police Chief Adam Weingartner:
Everyone says…we live in small town, that’s not going to happen here. But, it very well could happen and the Ottawa police want everyone to know what to expect and how to react when and if a situation like an active shooter arises.
