Lieutenant Governor and Secretary of Commerce, David Toland, have announced more than $7.6 million in Community Development Block Grant Funding has been awarded for 19 projects across Kansas. These investments are aimed at strengthening infrastructure, housing, and economic opportunities in rural and low- to moderate-income communities.
Two of those grants were awarded in Osage County. The City of Lyndon will receive $650,000, to expand and rehabilitate the local library with ADA access, façade repairs and site drainage improvements. The second grant will go to Carbondale. They will receive $650,000 to build a multi purpose sports court, a toddler play area with facility lighting and sidewalks to the park.
