Last year, the Ottawa Library held a Festival of Wreaths. Local residents were asked to make Christmas Wreaths to be on display at the library, then auctioned off. The event was so popular that they have brought the program back again this year. The wreaths were submitted recently, created by local businesses and patrons of the library. Want to see them,?maybe buy one of them. You need to hurry! They are on display through today, November 24th, and the bidding for them in an online auction also ends today. All proceeds benefit the Ottawa Library Capital Improvement Fund. See the Ottawa Library website for details.
Last year, one of the winning bids came from Ottawa Canada. The bidder thought she was bidding for the library in Canada. When she found out she was in the wrong country, she went ahead and bought the wreath, saying it was beautiful and she expected it to be on display in her home for years to come.
