Remember the man in Miami County we told you about that was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle he took from a gas station in Paola last week? Well, he must want some more attention, because he was arrested again just a few days later. The first incident took place November 24th in Paola.
A 23-year-old Paola man was arrested twice in the span of four days after two reported incidents involving stolen vehicles.
Friday, November 28th, Paola police officers located a vehicle that had been reported stolen out of Overland Park. Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop with the vehicle at the intersection of Holly Lane and Baptiste Drive, but the driver fled and merged onto northbound U. S. Highway 169. After a pursuit, stop sticks were deployed by members of the Spring Hill Police Department, and the driver lost control and came to rest in the median just north of 215th street. Twenty three year-old Skylar Chacone, of Paola, was taken into custody, again, and charged with fleeing and elude, reckless driving, no driver’s license and numerous other traffic infractions.
