With Thanksgiving last week, the season of giving has started and it started a bit early for a couple of organizations last week. Ottawa Sanitation called USD 290 Transportation Director, Randy Winkler, and asked if they could come up with three families they could donate Thanksgiving dinner to. After helping them out, Winkler had an idea:
Winkler says delivering the meals was the best part, as many of the families were overwhelmed by the kindness and told him they didn’t know where a good Thanksgiving meal was going to come from and their prayers were answered. Thank you to Ottawa Sanitation, the USD 290 bus drivers and monitors and anyone else who helped a family in need this Thanksgiving
