When Franklin County Director of Maintenance, Brandon Sands, found out there was a time capsule concealed in the cornerstone of the Franklin County Courthouse, he knew he wanted to figure out how to get it out. After plans were put in place by the county commission to open it in a public ceremony, the question was…is it even there? Sands describes how they found out:
The big reveal will be tomorrow afternoon at 3:00 at the Courthouse. Franklin County Historical Society Director Diana Staresinic-Dean will tell the historical significance of each item in the time capsule, that has been sealed since 1892 when it was placed in the cornerstone.
