At last week’s Ottawa City Commission meeting, Commissioners voted to cease funding to the Franklin County Development Council, who they have been seeking advice and services from for economic development for many years. The question is, how will Franklin County commissioners react to the decision. City Attorney Blaine Finch:
City commissioners decided to bring economic development in house. They say that many of the economic development tasks are done by city hall employees anyway. The county commission meets Wednesday morning. We’ll see if the topic comes up in discussion.
