The Ottawa City Commission approved the replacement of all the ceiling tiles in City Hall and the installation of a new lighting system to go along with the replacement of the heating and air system. The ceiling tiles, for the most part are the same ones that have been in the building since it was built in the 80’s. Information Technology Director, Paul Sommer on the lighting:

The cost of replacing the tiles and the lighting system came in at just over $171,000. It’s the first upgrade of lights, HVAC and ceiling tiles in nearly 40 years.
