You may notice a tower going up north of Ottawa soon. The Franklin County Commission approved several rezoning applications for properties being split in order to build a home. They also approved a special use permit for a communications tower. County Administrator Derek Brown went over the application with commissioners:
The tower will be for Diamond Communications, who says the the project is to improve wireless service coverage and capacity for all the major wireless providers, addressing ongoing service demands in the surrounding area.
