Despite the City of Ottawa cutting funding to the Franklin County Development Council, they say they remain committed to prioritize existing industry, and stand behind Executive Director Paul Bean and recognizes his ongoing and extensive impact on economic development in the community.

The FCDC board says there are four strategic priorities moving forward. Housing, child care, workforce development and existing industry. They say that each of the four initiatives are crucial to Franklin County and the City of Ottawa. They believe the relationships they have built the last six years under Bean will help them prevail and make measured improvement in each area. As business leaders, they remain committed to the future of Franklin County.
