The Ottawa City Commission named an Interim City Manager at yesterday’s meeting, December 17th. City Attorney Blaine Finch agreed to act as city manager until the commission decides on another:
Finch has great knowledge of the inner working of city government and has served Ottawa in some capacity for decades.
Brian Silcott’s last meeting as city manager was yesterday. Finch told commissioners that Silcott was ill and not able to attend the meeting.
The commission met in Executive Session to go over potential candidates and possibly narrow down the list. They will continue that task when meetings resume in January.
