At the Ottawa City Commission meeting Wednesday morning, December 17th, a donation from Price Chopper Ottawa to the Mayor’s Christmas Tree Fund was presented to ECKAN. Mayor Zach Clayton presented the check to ECKAN Representative, Teresia Templeton. The $2,000 donation has been a gift from Price Chopper for several years. They say iit is their way of giving back to the community.
The money is always given to an organization that directly helps the community. In the past, it has been split between Hope House and ECKAN, but the commission is giving Hope House $9,000 in the coming year and decided that this year, the donation would all go to ECKAN.
