Some people were spotted mowing their yard yesterday afternoon. Kind of hard to believe in late December, but, with cold weather on the way this weekend, we can be assured that the warmer air of spring will return soon and with that, mowing season again.
If you like to mow on a larger scale and maybe have a mowing business, the City of Ottawa is requesting bids from mowing contractors to mow private properties for the City of Ottawa. If your company is interested, you can obtain a copy of the bid form and agreement from the Neighborhood and Community Services Department at City Hall or find it online at the City of Ottawa’s website: ottawaks.gov. You will need to be able to mow within time periods designated by the city for the 2026 season.
The bid proposal and your contact information has to be received no later than February 10th at 10 am. Bring it in a sealed envelope to Neighborhood Services at City Hall which is temporarily located at the first floor service window.
