Franklin County officials said that renewal notices have been sent for heavy farm trucks and trailers. These notices were inadvertently mailed early by the state printer but, cannot be processed until after January first, when the State of Kansas registration system opens for the new registration year.
These renewals will be accepted in the Franklin County office from Friday, January 2nd through the last business day of February, during which time registration fees will be collected.
Franklin County officials would like to apologize for the confusion and thank everyone for their understanding in the matter.
