One of the many things Ottawa has going for it is a vibrant downtown. Beautifully preserved historic buildings, a variety of businesses, some old, some new and new construction going on seemingly all the time. Ottawa Mayor Zach Clayton on how the downtown has changed since he grew up:
He says new construction is important in town, but there are a lot of building with great foundations and he believes improving what is already built is just as important as building new. Clayton was born and raised in Ottawa.
