A new kids sports organization is offering youth sports camps and other activities for kids in our area. According to organizer Malik Mayfield, they impact over a thousand youth athletes in Kansas and Michigan. He says the organization is faith based and the name of a basketball camp held this past weekend is Ubuntu. He explains:
The camp was held at Haskell University and was run by college coaches and athletes. Mayfield is expanding the organization with the opening of a sports performance gym in north Ottawa. That facility will offer a multitude of training opportunities for people of all ages. Look for a grand opening sometime in late February.
