Wilma ”Joyce”  (Stoffer) DeVore, 87, of Topeka, Kansas and formerly of Ottawa, Kansas passed away Sunday, January 4, 2026 at Oakley Place in Topeka, Kansas.  She was born June 28, 1938 in Centropolis, Kansas the daughter of Kenneth Perry Stoffer and Wilma Irene (English) Stoffer.  She graduated from Pomona High School, Pomona, Kansas with the Class of 1956 and later attended college.  

Wilma worked as a Secretary for the City of Winfield, Kansas. She was a member of the Lowman United Methodist Church in Topeka, Kansas.  She was very active with the Winfield, Kansas Lions Club and was District Governor from 2004-2005.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Wilma Stoffer; a son, Scott Leland Carpenter; and a sister, Carol Ann Allcorn.

Surviving family includes a son, Craig Carpenter of Loveland, Colorado; daughter, Carolyn Badura and husband Bill of Topeka, Kansas; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. 

A private family burial will be held at Evergreen Mound Cemetery, Ottawa, Kansas.
