WELLSVILLE – A Wellsville middle schooler is trying to raise funds for a summer conference in Washington D.C. Sixth grader Jacob Baker has been recognized for his scholastic merit and was nominated by his extended learning teacher for the Junior National Young Leaders Conference. The conference seeks to teach leadership skills in which Baker things he could benefit from. Baker needs to raise $2000 by the first of August in order to attend. The Bakers plan to hold a lemonade stand as a way to help raise funds. To donate money, Baker’s mother, Barbara can be contacted at 785-883-8966.
