Martin Luther King Day is Monday, January 20th, and there will be many celebrations across the nation, including right here in Ottawa. The Ottawa City Commission has approved a Proclamation in recognition of the day. Former ECKAN Director Richard Jackson accepted the Proclamation, and he says he hopes people remember its meaning:
Martin Luther King ceremonies will be held Sunday afternoon, January 19th, at 2:00 at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Ottawa.
