The Franklin County Commission will have a big topic on their agenda at next week’s meeting and, it’s one that many commissioners have spent a lot of time studying the past year. Planning Director Pat Toth and County Administrator Derek Brown on discussion of solar energy:
Jason Edwards would like to put a floating solar array on an old quarry lake his family owns north of Ottawa, to power his irrigation systems and possible other business in the area. The Planning Commission recommended denying the special use permit.
The meeting is at 8:30 Wednesday morning at the Franklin County Annex Building.
