The Ottawa Main Street held two events in the past week, first, Third Thursday, a monthly celebration on the third Thursday of each month, where businesses stay open later and a pop up Makers Market is set up on the Courthouse lawn for people to sell their wares. People are also encouraged to eat dinner in a downtown restaurant. For every $10 you spend, you receive an entry to a raffle for a gift card to the business of your choice. The next Third Thursday is set for May 15th.
The other event was Saturday, the Hop-to-Shop Easter Egg Hunt where there were five golden eggs hidden in each participating store, each with a special discount to use that day. Plus a kids Easter egg hunt, which saw 13,000 easter eggs on Main Street between 5th and first. Some of thoes eggs containing special prizes. It was extremely well attended.
