The Ottawa High School boys basketball team had a great season and qualified for the state tournament in Salina last month. The stands were packed and a huge number of students from Ottawa High were at the games. There was an entry fee and expenses in getting there, which can be pretty costly. At the USD 290 School Board Meeting, Superintendent Dr. Ryan Cobbs gave praise to several businesses that donated nearly $1,300 to cover admission fees and bus transportation for students wanting to attend.

Cobbs also highlighted a donation of $250 from the Kansas Center of Entrepreneurship for an entrepreneurship class at Ottawa High and a $1,001 donation from a group of retired teachers for Lincoln students to take home books from the upcoming literature fest.
