The Kansas Legislative Session wrapped up a couple weeks ago and the Kansas Democratic Party is focusing on what they can do to make progress in the next session. They’ve announced the “Fight Back Tour”. It’s a state-wide initiative aimed at engaging directly with Kansans and listening to concerns, while outlining the Democratic vision for the future of Kansas.
According to Democratic leaders, the Kansas House Republican Supermajority made it clear that they don’t care to solve the issues Kansans are most concerned about. They say the bills Republicans did pass were harmful bills on hot topic issues attacking trans-Kansans, suppressing voting rights and policing journalists that report on their actions, all the while failing to deliver meaningful tax relief for working families and passing a budget that leaves the state with a huge deficit in just a few years. Expect to hear more on the Democratic Fight Back Tour in the near future.
