Baker University will hold their commencement ceremonies on Sunday, May 18th. The featured speaker at the ceremony will be Class of 1973 Skip Kalb. A Baldwin City native, former student-athlete, and proud Wildcat, Kalb went on to lead major strategic initiatives during his more than 40-year career with BNSF railway, helping shape national infrastructure and freight logistics. He now serves on Baker’s Board of Trustees. Kalb says being selected as commencement speaker at any university is a big deal, but to do it at Baker makes it even more special. Kalb will speak to graduates and their families at two commencement ceremonies on Sunday, at the George F. Collins Jr. Sports and Convention center on the Baldwin City Campus.
There are two ceremonies. The first at 1:00 that afternoon, recognizing Undergraduates in the College of Arts and Sciences, School of Education, and School of Nursing. The second, at 4:00 will present Associate, Bachelor’s, and Master’s Degrees from the School of Professional and Graduate Studies, Master’s and Doctoral Degrees from the School of Education, and Master’s Degrees from the School of Nursing.
