You ever feel like your the only one who knows how to drive on the road? Ever think… or say this?…..

… you probably aren’t alone, but, you could be part of the problem. A new survey by Forbes Advisor ranked Kansas drivers as the third worst in the entire Nation. According to the Kansas Department of Transportation, in 2024, 344 people died in car crashes in Kansas– down 11% over the year before and the lowest number in nearly 80 years, that’s right, 80 years. But, here’s the strange part, over 86% of crashes occurred in good weather conditions with dry roads. Kansas had the second highest amount of deadly crashes involving distracted drivers and the third most involving those not obeying traffic signals, signs or officers.

With the Memorial Day Weekend approaching, the Kansas Highway Patrol is joining local law enforcement in the Click It or Ticket Program, encouraging drivers to drive safe and courteously and without distraction at all times, and to make sure everyone in the vehicle is wearing their seat belts. Don’t be part of this trend…

…drive safe and alert everywhere you go.
