Have you noticed that every time it rains, the street lights between the 13 and 15 hundred blocks of Main Street go out? The Ottawa City Commission has approved a contract with Wright Tree Service to bore and pull box installations on main street to fix the problem. Utilities Director, Scott Snethen, explained the situation:
Snethen added that the current system can’t support upgrades and they will be installing 300 feet of new wiring and installing 12 pull boxes, all without tearing up the sidewalks or street. Estimated cost is just over $31,000.
