The Franklin County Board of Commissioners will meet this morning, May 28th. They have a fairly short agenda today. First, commissioners will consider the approval of a rezoning application to rezone about 19 acres near 3478 Louisiana Road on the south side of Pawnee Road from A-1 agriculture to R-E, residential estate. Planning and Building Director Pat Toth will lead the discussion.
Second, commissioners will consider for approval the applications of Katie Payne to use local environmental protection program grant money to repair a failed individual septic system at 2199 Shawnee Road. Again, Planning and Building Director, Pat Toth, will lead the conversation.
And finally, commissioners will consider for approval awarding the bid for the 2025 painted pavement marking project to Straight Line Striping, in the amount of $48,763. Public Works Director Jeff Welton will be directing that conversation. The meeting will be at 8:30 at the County Annex and will be live streamed on the Franklin County Kansas youtube channel.
