Homelessness in the Ottawa area is on the increase. At the same time, Ottawa and the surrounding area has a housing shortage. So, if someone that is currently unhoused is able to get into a home, there may not be one available to them. Staneslow adds there are multiple type of homeless in our area. The ones you may see on the street, but also many others that are couch surfing from home to home every few nights or living in their vehicle.
