The Ottawa City Commission approved a contract with Sandyland Environmental to do the sludge removal at one of the ponds at the water treatment plant at 2nd and Beech. Not the prettiest and most glamorous job, but nevertheless, an important one. Utilities Director Scott Snethen:
The agreement with Sandyland Environmental is for $180,000. The company is a family run business out of Allen, Oklahoma with over 28 years of experience. No word on when the work will begin.
