Two new members of the Wellsville Wall of Fame will be inducted soon. The first is Dawn Rottinghaus. For 30 years she was a business/technology teacher and FBLA adviser, spending countless extra hours supporting and guiding her students in and out of the classroom. During her tenure, she raised all standards for FBLA chapters throughout Kansas and across the nation. She was always urging Wellsville students to volunteer in numerous community and service projects, teaching the value of service to her students was an important trait she passed on.
In the classroom, Dawn was recognized as the Kansas & Mountain Plains Business Teacher of the Year in 2009, the USD 289 Secondary Master Teacher in 2019, Kansas FBLA Adviser of the Year in 2004, and was inducted into the National FBLA Adviser Hall of Fame in 2015. Her multimedia presentation class was selected in 2002 and 2004 to present to many school administrators across Kansas, as well as the State Legislature and the Governor of Kansas. She cared deeply about her students and had a tremendous impact on many at Wellsville High.
The other wall of fame inductee is Lucky Wingert Hostetter. More on him soon. The ceremony will be June 14th at the high school.
