The heavy rains last week really brought the water level up on the Marais des Cygne River and in Ottawa, that usually means a log jam on one or both of the bridges in Downtown Ottawa. Franklin County Public Works Director, Jeff Welton, says water can do some amazing things and it takes a team effort to clear the jam and make the bridges safe:
He added that Emergency Management Director Tom Winter is looking at damage estimates to see if there may be enough to apply for Federal Aid Relief.
