The Franklin County Commission heard from EMS Director Kristi Hilliker, who gave them the first quarter report for her department. She says this year so far, the busiest day of the week is Tuesday, and the peak call time so far is three o’clock in the afternoon. She explains why calls on the south side increased so much last year:
The Franklin County EMS ran a record number of calls last year, over 4,000. Most people were transported to AdventHealth Ottawa although, Hilliker says, patients can decide where they want to be taken.
