Osage County held the grand opening of the new Osage County Law Enforcement Center in Lyndon yesterday, June 17th. It houses the sheriff’s office, dispatch center, inmate housing and more. Sheriff Chris Wells says it’s a huge improvement over the former building:

The new Law Enforcement Center can house up to 120 inmates, more than three times the number they were able to hold at their previous location. It also features a storm-safe dispatch center, with completely bulletproof sheetrock. Sheriff Wells says the state of the art facility is a $23 million investment into the future of Osage County for years to come.
