Recently, Chief Justice Marla Luckert signed orders appointing and re-appointing members to two committees. One of those appointees is from Carbondale. Ashley Madden, who serves as the Municipal Court Clerk in Carbondale was appointed to the Municipal Court Clerks Committee. The committee recommends and organizes education and training programs for municipal court clerks. It also reviews and updates the municipal court clerks manual. The committee includes court clerks or administrators, a nonvoting representative of the Office of Judicial Administration, and the president and past president of the Kansas Association for Court Management. Madden will serve through June of 2028.
