The Franklin County Commission meets this morning, June 25th, and they have a light schedule. First commissioners will hear from Community Corrections Director, Dustin Browning. He will ask the board to purchase a 2025 Ford Escape from Bob Allen Ford for just over $31,000 to replace an aging vehicle that has significant wear and tear and is becoming costly to maintain. Next is the acceptance of dedications for the final platt of Harris Acres and Yezek Estates, given by Planning and Building Director Pat Toth. The next item is rezoning application for about half an acre from A-1 agriculture to R-residential at 1770 East 15th Street. Finally, commissioners will consider approval for the local Workforce Development Area One Chief Elected Official Board agreement, which includes 79 counties in Kansas, to be be presented by County Administrator Derek Brown.
