It’s officially fireworks season! And the city of Osawatomie wants you to please keep a few things in mind while you plan your family’s Independence Day Celebrations:
–> Lighting of fireworks is permissible in the City of Osawatomie between 8:00 in the morning and 10:00 at night through tomorrow, July 3rd, and 8:00 in the morning to 11:00 at night on July 4th.
–> Selling of fireworks within the city of Osawatomie is permissible between the hours of 8:00 am and 10:00 pm through July 4th and 8:00 am to 8:00 pm on July 5th of each year, but only by someone who has obtained a valid permit to sell fireworks.
–> Officials encourage you not to light any fireworks on any public sidewalk, street, alley or avenue or in any park or on any other public property within the city.
