If you have lived in Ottawa for very long, you probably know who Chuck Crawford is. He is at nearly every event in Ottawa, all year round. Always seeking information, always eager to share his enthusiasm for what is going on around town. He knows everyone, and everyone knows him by name. Chuck is also a big Special Olympics athlete, and ran the Special Olympic Torch into Kalmar as it came into Ottawa this year, and led the athletes who took the torch through Ottawa the next day. Chuck and his good friend Bryan Barrett are also Boy Scouts and are part of Troop 74 in Ottawa. At the Rotary Youth Camp, which Chuck and Bryan have been attending for nearly 20 years as Scouts, have earned over 100 merit badges between them, were presented the most prestigious honor scouting can give….their Eagle Scout Badges.
Both are Brotherhood members of the Order of the Arrow and are now Eagle Scouts. Congratulations and thank you Chuck and Bryan for being so active in the community and showing us all how to be good people!
