Franklin County Sheriff, Jeff Richards, gets all kinds of questions. One he tends to get a lot of lately involved illegal immigration and his department’s relationship with Immigration and Customs Enforcement, known as ICE. Richards says they are one of the few counties that do have a contract with ICE, however, that doesn’t mean they are out there actively looking for people that may not be in the country legally:
Richard added that the inmate count at the jail has dropped significantly. They have 44, where just a few months ago, it was much higher.
