What started out as a discussion about a Planning Commission decision to deny a re-zoning permit to a man wanting to split a 20 acre plot into four five-acre tracts north of Pomona, grew into a nearly 30 minute debate about the proposed deal. The Planning Commissioners want two 10-acre plots instead. The Planning Commission listened to surrounding property owners who were against the project; however, after listening to the property owner, Commissioner Waymire had this to say:

The owner of the land was concerned that splitting the tract into 10 acre plots would be giving up too much land. Commissioners overturned the Planning Commission’s recommendation on a 4-1 vote. Commissioner Sabrina Meador being the only “no” vote.
