The Ottawa Area Chamber of Commerce Final Summer Concert in Legacy Square was well attended by nearly 400 people Friday night, August 8th. Local legendary band Clevermax was rocking the stage. Unfortunately, the evening took a turn for the worse as one of the band’s founding member, Dave Bailey suffered a medical emergency during the show. The band posted on social media yesterday that thanks to the quick response of several friends, along with the incredible care from the Franklin County Ambulance crew and the ER team at AdventHealth, as well as God’s healing hands, Dave pulled through.
He is recovering after heart surgery at a hospital in the Kansas City area. Although he isn’t out of the woods yet, the band says that your prayers and positive energy have meant the world to them and have been a huge part of getting them to this point. They ask that you continue to keep Dave, his family, and friends in your thoughts as he moves through his recovery.
