Franklin County used to have the distinction as the “meth lab capital of Kansas”. New meth labs were constantly being busted. Franklin County Attorney Brandon Jones says when he started here in 2000, it seemed like a meth lab a week was being discovered. However, that has changed dramatically over the past few years.
