It’s back to school time for students in the area. Ottawa schools had their first full day yesterday, August 13th, as did Spring Hill. Today is the first day for Central Heights, Wellsville, Baldwin City, Anderson County and Lyndon. Osage City starts tomorrow. West Franklin gets an extra week, they start next Wednesday, as does Osawatomie, Paola, and Louisburg. Santa Fe trail doesn’t start until a week from today.
School officials at all school are urging drivers to be extra cautious as they take kids to school or head out on their morning commute. There will be a lot of kids out and about. Police and sheriff’s deputies will be patrolling the schools to make sure everyone is safe. So, buckle up, slow down, put your phone away and make sure everyone gets to school safe today, and every day.
