The Franklin County Commission approved the purchase of a new ambulance for the county EMS fleet. EMS Director Christie Hilliker says she sent out bids and received two back; however, only one fit what they needed:
The new ambulance will eventually replace Med 3, which is leaking and only used when it is not raining, and it can’t be fixed. The total cost of the new ambulance is just over $216,000.
