With summer winding down, parents and kids have entered the ‘back to school’ mode. On top of buying school related items like notebooks, pens, pencils, and erasers and compass…wait do they use compasses any more? Anyway, sometimes lunch is forgotten about. Kansas State University Food Safety expert, Karen Blakeslee, says it’s important to think about lunch and food safety:

Blakeslee and Frontier Extension District Agent Chelsea Richmond will be our guest on this week’s Community Perspective. Blakeslee, talking about packing school lunches and Richmond talking about getting the kids off to a great start to the day with a good breakfast! Tune in tomorrow morning, August 24th, right after the 8 o’clock news, to hear the entire conversation.
